Job Summary

Roseland Ceasefire Project Inc is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Community Violence Prevention Specialist to join our Neighborhood Safety Team. The successful candidate will work closely with our team to prevent shootings and retaliatory violence in our community.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the community and its needs, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They will be responsible for building relationships with high-risk individuals, mediating conflicts, and providing linkages to pro-social alternatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain supportive relationships with high-risk clients
  • Mediate conflicts and provide linkages to pro-social alternatives
  • Work closely with the Neighborhood Safety Team to prevent shootings and retaliatory violence
  • Document shootings and other acts of violence prevented
Requirements
  • High School Diploma/GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Firsthand knowledge of the community and knowledge of current street conflicts required
  • Experience working with high-risk, street-involved individuals
  • Ability to work one-on-one and in groups with high-risk individuals
  • Willingness to work on call, late nights, and on weekends
