Nursing Director Assistant

Momentum, a leading nonprofit provider of direct support for individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities, is seeking an experienced and dedicated Assistant Director of Nursing to join our team.
Job Summary:The Assistant Director of Nursing will play a critical role in supporting the Director of Nursing and clinical staff in overseeing nursing operations and clinical education across our facilities/sites. This position requires a strong clinical background, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure high-quality care and services.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to supervise and coordinate nursing staff in ICF/DD-N and ICF-DDH homes.
- Provide direct licensed care and support as needed to meet operational needs and maintain current skill and knowledge of care provisions in a ICF setting.
- Collaborate with Administration to facilitate strong working relationships and support clinical needs.
- Onboard and train new and current nursing staff.
- Provide ongoing education classes and in-service education.
- Implement new procedures and training for clinical staff on policies and procedures.
- Coordinate, update, evaluate, and implement programs to meet regulatory requirements.
- Organize departmental and discipline-specific needs.
- Makes assessments to improve quality care of people supported.
- Reviews and implements treatments and services of each person supported.
- Makes recommendations for cost and quality strategies, works within budget.
- Promotes effective parent/family relationships by reporting concerns with a supportive and constructive approach.
- Provides in-service training in the areas of client health needs, emergency procedures, and infection control.
- Performs other duties assigned to meet department and/or business needs.
- Graduate of a Board of Registered Nursing approved school with a current California Registered Nurse's License; required.
- Minimum One (1) years of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse; required.
- Minimum of two (2) years' experience in education, teaching, or in-service education; required.
- Previous supervisory or management experience; required.
- Previous experience in the care and treatment of individuals with developmental disabilities; preferred.
- Masters in Nursing; preferred.
- Ability to travel to and from different sites.
- Successfully pass all post-offer, pre-employment screening requirements, including criminal background check, drug screening, health screening, TB screening, and provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
- Ability to run, push, pull, bend, squat, kneel, and lift up to fifty (50) pounds.
- Valid and current proof of legal right to drive in California; required.
