Key Responsibilities- Operational Leadership: Oversees all day-to-day operational activities of the department, ensuring seamless execution of culinary services.
- Culinary Innovation: Designs the property's menu and determines prices to ensure profitability, staying up-to-date with culinary trends and industry standards.
- Team Management: Supervises kitchen staff, including interviewing and selecting, hiring and setting pay, assessing performance, investigating complaints, and making formal discipline and termination recommendations.
- Guest Relations: Maintains personal connections with guests, clients, and community organizations to encourage guest loyalty and retention.
- Departmental Administration: Assists in preparing the annual department budget, monitors inventory controls, and dates all incoming products.
- Food Preparation: Prepares foods according to portion and quality standards established in recipes and procedures, maintaining a high level of culinary excellence.
