Job Summary

The Massachusetts General Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our Orthopedic Trauma team. As a Physician Assistant, you will work closely with our team of surgeons and healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care and support.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct care to patients with orthopedic trauma injuries, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment.
  • Collaborate with surgeons and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans.
  • Conduct physical examinations, take medical histories, and order diagnostic tests as needed.
  • Prescribe medications and treatments as authorized by the supervising physician.
  • Assist with surgical procedures and provide post-operative care.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and advancements in orthopedic trauma care.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Board certification through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
  • Current Commonwealth of Massachusetts Physician Assistant license.
  • Current DEA registration and Massachusetts Controlled Substance Registration (MCSR).
  • Basic and advanced life support certification.
