Job Summary

The University of Pittsburgh is seeking a highly skilled Patient Experience Specialist to provide administrative support services for patient care. This role is responsible for scheduling and confirming appointments and surgeries, maintaining accurate databases and records, and ensuring all forms and paperwork are completed and correct.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provides exceptional patient and customer service skills to ensure a positive experience for patients and families.
  • Acts as liaison for patient records, maintaining accurate databases and records, and ensuring all forms and paperwork are completed and correct.
  • Performs basic financial functions and guides students in administrative tasks.
  • Assists in meeting or exceeding patient satisfaction and financial/operational targets.
  • Manages and handles patient calls and inquiries, coordinating patient appointments, updating patient insurance/billing information, and performing point of service activities.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • 1 year of experience in a healthcare or administrative setting preferred.
  • Combination of education and relevant experience will be considered in lieu of education and/or experience requirement.
Work Environment
