We are seeking a highly skilled Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team and contribute to the development of advanced atomic, molecular, and optical (AMO) physics-based quantum sensors and neutral atom quantum computing systems. The successful candidate will work closely with our team of physicists and engineers to design, develop, and test innovative sensing technologies.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct fundamental research in AMO physics and quantum sensing
- Develop and test novel sensing technologies
- Collaborate with the team to design and implement experiments
- Analyze data and publish research results
- Assist in the development of new research directions and programs
- PhD in atomic, molecular, optical, or neutron physics or electrical engineering
- Experience in AMO physics, atomic clocks, Rydberg electrometry, optically pumped magnetometry, or related fields
- Ability to acquire and maintain a DOE L-level security clearance
- Track record of successful research and development in AMO-relevant fields
- Experience with hot/warm alkali vapor cells, cold-atom atomic physics experiments, trapped ions, or magnetoencephalography data collection and processing
- Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment
