Postdoctoral Research Scientist

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Postdoctoral Fellow to join our team at the Lovelace Biomedical Research Institute. The successful candidate will work on several projects that utilize multimodal neuroimaging to study traumatic brain injury and psychosis spectrum disorders.
Responsibilities:- Perform independent research in the area of image processing and algorithm development with application to brain imaging and genetics data.
- Develop and select proper statistical tests, algorithms, and methods to analyze data.
- Interact with patients from various clinical populations and healthy controls.
- Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals and compete for extramural funding.
- Ph.D. or M.D. in a directly related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of research experience performing related duties.
- Proven record of peer-reviewed publications with demonstrated first-authorship success.
- Experience with R/Python programming and neuroimaging software (e.g., AFNI, FSL, etc.).
- Superior professional-level verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
The work environment is a dry laboratory setting. The successful candidate will operate standard office equipment and will frequently stand, walk, sit, perform desk-based computer tasks, use a telephone, perform repetitive motions, and occasionally lift objects that weigh up to 20 pounds.
