Job Summary

As a Construction Project Manager at Taylor Morrison, you will oversee the construction process for assigned units and community amenity structures, ensuring timely completion while meeting financial, quality, and safety goals. This role requires strong leadership and management skills, with a focus on project planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and cost management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the assigned units from start to finish, with limited oversight
  • Foster a team environment and work closely with corporate and division leadership to meet project goals
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with subcontractors
  • Continually evaluate quality, safety, scheduling, and cost control measures and enforce site safety
  • Manage the construction schedule and ensure the highest quality product is delivered on time and within budget
  • Develop and implement recovery strategies to maintain schedule and authorize payment for materials received and work completed
  • Coordinate with property management on unit turnover and quality control
  • Utilize technology to efficiently report construction progress
  • Ensure the worksite is clean, orderly, and visually appealing during construction
  • Manage the post-close process for warranty, including assessing warranty requests, determining course of action, scheduling trades, and managing quality assurance
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent with 1+ years of construction experience (preferably with a production builder) or successful completion of the assigned TM360 Learning curriculum
  • Bachelor's degree in construction or a related field preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge of new home construction process, scheduling, and cost control procedures
  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret construction documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project schedules
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and computer skills
  • BuildPro and SupplyPro experience a plus
  • Strong communication and organization skills, with a customer service-oriented approach
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Experience building homes in a higher-density setting a plus
