**About the Role:**
We are seeking a highly skilled Auto Body Craftsman to join our team at Recruiting Solutions. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a range of tasks involving vehicle body repair and refinishing.
Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year (based on experience)
About the Job:
As an Auto Body Craftsman, you will combine expertise in both structural repairs and cosmetic refinishing to restore vehicles to their original condition after accidents or wear.
Main Responsibilities:
- Collision Repair:
- Assess vehicle damage to determine repair methods and timelines.
- Replace damaged vehicle components, such as bumpers, fenders, doors, and panels.
- Perform structural repairs using welding and metalworking techniques.
- Refinishing:
- Sand, mask, and prime vehicle surfaces in preparation for painting.
- Mix and apply paint to match the original color and finish.
- Buff and polish painted surfaces to achieve a flawless finish.
- Inspection and Estimation:
- Conduct detailed inspections to identify all areas needing repair.
- Provide accurate repair estimates to supervisors or customers.
- Tool and Equipment Operation:
- Operate tools such as dent pullers, welders, spray guns, and sanders safely and efficiently.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
- Customer Interaction:
- Explain repair processes and timelines to customers when necessary.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by delivering quality work.
- Compliance and Safety:
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and environmental regulations related to auto body repair and painting.
- Dispose of hazardous materials, such as paint and solvents, according to regulations.
Requirements:
- Education and Training:
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in auto body repair preferred.
- Skills and Qualifications:
- Proficiency in collision repair, metalworking, and automotive refinishing.
- Experience with specialized tools and equipment used in auto body work.
- Ability to read and interpret repair manuals, technical bulletins, and work orders.

- Technical Expertise: Skilled in structural repairs, welding, and painting techniques.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to produce high-quality finishes and ensure repairs meet manufacturer specifications.
