Job Title: Pre and Post Award Research Administrator

We are seeking an experienced Pre and Post Award Research Administrator to join our team at UCLA Health. As a key member of our research administration team, you will play a critical role in supporting the Department's pre- and post-award administration.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee intra- and extramurally funded research awards for Departmental Principal Investigators.
  • Collaborate with research administrative personnel to ensure seamless administration of research projects.
  • Lead the Department's pre- and post-award administration team, providing guidance and support to team members.
  • Develop and implement effective administrative processes to ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to Departmental Principal Investigators and research staff.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and/or equivalent experience/training.
  • 5+ years of experience in research administration, with a proven track record of success.
  • Excellent leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to guide team members to success.
  • Advanced knowledge of financial and accounting concepts, including interpreting financial statements.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, and comply with policies and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to analyze financial data and propose solutions.
  • Attention to detail, with the ability to manage complex administrative and financial tasks.
  • Advanced proficiency with Adobe and Microsoft suite software.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated commitment to ethics, integrity, and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
