Paint Preparation Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Paint Preparation Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for cleaning and painting manufactured parts, loading and unloading the carousel as necessary, and performing other tasks as assigned.
Key Responsibilities:
• Clean items according to specific part requirements, including removal of oil, grease, welding impurities, slag, and other contaminants to ensure proper paint adhesion.
• Paint items according to specific part requirements, moving them to and from the paint location as needed, and touching up as necessary.
• Perform other tasks as assigned, including moving material from storage locations to and from cleaning or painting stations.
Requirements:
• Ability to read and interpret instructions, with experience in material handling equipment and paint spraying equipment.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to follow instructions and work with minimal supervision.
• Certification in forklift operation and safety policies and procedures.
Physical Demands:
This role requires continuous standing, walking, sitting, light lifting, carrying, pushing/pulling, kneeling, crawling, climbing, and squatting. The work environment is typically moderate noise level, with occasional exposure to hot, humid, dry, dusty, and cold conditions both inside and outside.
Education and Experience:
The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, with one year of experience in a clerical position or related field. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to interpret instructions are essential for success in this role.
