Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Ambulatory Care team at St. David's North Austin Medical Center. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and ensuring a smooth transition from admission to discharge.

Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, and evaluate pre-op and post-op patient care
  • Obtain supplies, equipment, and medications needed for patient care
  • Prepare and monitor patients for surgeries and procedures
  • Administer medication and IV therapy
  • Receive and initiate physician orders
  • Provide pre-op and post-op patient teaching and emotional support
  • Ensure all patients have met discharge criteria
  • Complete patient follow-up calls post-procedure to evaluate patient care
Requirements
  • 1 year of clinical nursing experience as a Registered Nurse (RN) in a hospital setting
  • 1 year of acute care experience in Ambulatory Care - preferred
  • Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) - preferred
  • Current State of Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact Registered Nursing License
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification per St. David's Healthcare policy
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification - preferred
