Job Summary

The Research Medical Center Nurse Residency Program is a comprehensive training program designed to support the transition of new graduate nurses into the role of a professional nurse. This program is tailored to provide a supportive environment for new nurses to develop their clinical and critical thinking skills, while also promoting a culture of excellence and patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patient condition during admission and during each shift, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
  • Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s).
  • Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
  • Administer prescribed medications, monitor patient response, and notify provider as necessary.
  • Provide exceptional patient care by responding promptly to patient requests and anticipating patient needs.
Qualifications
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of employment.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 1 year of employment.
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
  • Registered Nurse License or Graduate Nurse in the State.
  • No previous experience necessary.
