Job Summary and Qualifications
The HCA Nurse Residency Program equips you with the necessary tools to thrive in today’s healthcare environment. This paid program facilitates your transition from academic learning to practical application through:
- Advanced clinical training in specialized areas

- Preceptorship with experienced facility preceptors
- Hands-on skill evaluations through simulations
- Mentorship from nursing leaders
The RN Resident is responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in alignment with departmental standards and practices. Collaborating with medical professionals, the RN Resident provides individualized, compassionate care while advocating for patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities:- Assess patient conditions upon admission and throughout each shift, reporting any changes
- Administer prescribed treatments and medications, monitoring for therapeutic responses
- Provide exceptional patient care by anticipating needs and responding promptly
- Educate patients and families about medical conditions, treatment plans, and medications
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of employment
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within one year
- An Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing
- A valid Registered Nurse License or Graduate Nurse status in the state
- No prior experience required
