Position Summary: Collaborating closely with the MEP Manager, the Estimator will be responsible for gathering, calculating, and compiling data to create conceptual and bid proposal estimates, while preparing routine estimates under general supervision.

Maintain up-to-date and accurate pricing information from suppliers and contractors through direct communication and written resources, including sales brochures and price lists.

Key Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
  • Gather, calculate, and compile data (unit costs, subcontractor quotes) for conceptual and bid proposal estimates.
  • Prepare routine estimates under general supervision.
  • Maintain current and accurate pricing information.
  • Prepare bid packages, conceptual estimates, and analyze subcontractor bids for projects of medium size and complexity.
  • Interface with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to provide engineering and cost data regarding project feasibility.
  • Draft exhibits that identify exclusions and qualifications tailored for each project.

Education, Experience, and Qualifications:
To excel in this role, candidates must demonstrate proficiency in essential duties. The requirements listed below represent the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary for success. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. A BS/BA in Construction Management, Engineering Technology, or Engineering, along with 3-5 years of experience in construction estimating, is required.
Proven Skills:
Strong understanding of spatial concepts and mathematics
Proficient in MS Office Suite (especially Excel and Word)
