Job Summary

We are seeking a Full-Time Mechanical and Building Systems Engineer to join our Integrated Facility Solutions (IFS) Group. This position is responsible for performing and reviewing Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) and Fire Life Safety (FLS) system assessments, as well as providing technical direction and guidance to Project Managers on MEP issues.

Responsibilities
  • Perform MEP assessments and prepare reports, including visual observation of heating and cooling equipment, lighting systems, and major electrical systems.
  • Conduct in-depth interviews with property owners, management personnel, and facility engineers to develop an understanding of current facility operations and conditions.
  • Review available construction documents, as-built drawings, and system sequences of operation to determine the condition of the building.
  • Prepare estimated costs to remedy building deficiencies and provide technical direction and guidance to Project Managers on MEP issues.
  • Communicate with clients and management to discuss and develop solutions to recognized MEP system concerns.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field, and 5+ years of commercial/industrial engineering consulting or design experience.
  • P.E. in mechanical engineering preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable, and courteous service to customers.
