Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Duke University Hospital - LotusTime. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in NICU, pediatric critical care, and pediatrics, along with experience in the ED.

Responsibilities
  • Provide respiratory care to patients in NICU, pediatric critical care, and pediatrics, including ventilation, oxygen therapy, and medication administration.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' respiratory status and develop plans to improve their condition.
  • Operate and maintain respiratory equipment, including ventilators and oxygen concentrators.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
Requirements
  • Current licensure as a Respiratory Therapist in the state of North Carolina.
  • At least 2 years of experience in NICU, pediatric critical care, and pediatrics, along with experience in the ED.
  • Knowledge of respiratory care principles and practices.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
