Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement information and computer systems tailored to meet specific requirements, often involving the integration of software and hardware solutions as defined by internal or external stakeholders.
  • Engage in projects from the outset, collaborating with analysts to develop requirements and maintaining involvement through to project completion.
  • Assess existing systems architecture and collaborate with both business and technical teams to propose enhancements that yield more efficient systems.
  • Coordinate the development process while providing motivation and guidance to the entire development team throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Ensure the realization of the architectural vision by directing designers and developers on the construction of the proposed solutions.
  • Select optimal technologies for various challenges, balancing architectural considerations with the business needs of the organization.
  • Lead the solution architecture in business initiatives, responsible for defining:
    • How technology can address specific business challenges.
    • The appropriate frameworks, platforms, or tech stacks to utilize for effective solutions.
    • The design and interaction of application components.
    • Future scalability and maintenance strategies.
    • The advantages and risks associated with third-party frameworks and platforms.
  • Oversee the programming, integration, and testing of software systems and related devices.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree coupled with a minimum of 11 years of experience across various IT domains, or a High School Diploma/GED with 13 years of application development experience in lieu of a degree.
  • At least 9 years of development experience in Service-Oriented Architecture and enterprise integration frameworks, particularly in cloud-based integration platforms.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the development, design, and delivery of IT services utilizing MuleSoft.
  • At least 3 years of experience managing a solution architecture function within a large or medium-scale organization, preferably in the Financial Services sector, focusing on integration technologies and API management solutions such as MuleSoft and APIGEE.

Preferred Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of the fintech industry, particularly regarding consumer financing.
  • Hands-on experience in developing comprehensive MuleSoft integrations for production environments.
  • Experience in creating MUnit test cases.
  • Familiarity with MuleSoft deployment models, including CloudHub, on-premise, and RTF.
  • Proficiency in Maven and Java.
  • Experience integrating with Salesforce, databases, external SaaS applications, and complex on-premise systems using MuleSoft.
  • Experience implementing various integration solutions, including REST APIs, SOAP web services, file-based integrations, and batch jobs.
  • Knowledge of messaging middleware such as JMS, Kafka, Anypoint MQ, and RabbitMQ, with practical experience leveraging these tools for MuleSoft integrations.
  • Understanding of various integration design patterns, including event-driven, publish-subscribe, message routing, content enrichment, batch processing, and error handling with MuleSoft.
  • Strong grasp of security concepts such as SSL/TLS, OAuth, SAML, OpenID Connect, and JWT.
  • Experience with CI/CD and DevOps processes, having guided or implemented CI/CD methodologies for MuleSoft deployments.
  • Familiarity with public cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.
  • Understanding of networking and security principles related to cloud technologies.
  • Experience defining API policies using API Manager and other API gateway products.
  • Extensive experience in microservices and micro-frontend architecture.
  • Deep expertise in Agile methodologies.
  • Strong critical thinking and creativity skills.
  • Experience in building and deploying applications on cloud platforms.
  • Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks such as Zachman or TOGAF.

The salary range for this position is competitive and includes eligibility for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.
