This position is a vital support function within the overall finance department at Sysco, a leading food distribution company. As an Accounts Receivable Associate, you will play a crucial role in processing and posting customer invoices and payments, as well as other related A/R functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive, reconcile, and process all customer invoices in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Correct and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues promptly.
  • Reconcile short pays and skipped invoices to ensure financial accuracy.
  • Scan and file all customer invoices for easy access and record-keeping.
  • Apply cash and checks to customer accounts in a secure and efficient manner.
  • Print and email customer A/R statements to keep customers informed of their account status.
  • Prepare A/R reporting, including monthly and ad-hoc reports, to provide insights into financial performance.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Finance or Accounting is preferred.
  • Entry-level position with a strong desire to learn and grow in a dynamic finance environment.
  • Proficient computer skills with emphasis on Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with customers and colleagues.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
  • Analytical skills to analyze data and draw logical conclusions and recommendations.
