Senior Correctional Staff Member

This is a senior-level position that requires overseeing correctional staff who provide direct care to juveniles in a correctional residential facility.
The work involves overseeing the daily operations of a juvenile residential facility, facilitating youth rehabilitation, supervising youth, and coaching their personal development in accordance with individualized treatment plans.
The successful candidate will provide supervision and direct care for youth in a residential correctional facility and ensure the safety and security of youth and staff.
They will also support, coach, and mentor other coaches to teach appropriate methods and positive ways to work with youth.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in youth rehabilitation and correctional services, with experience in supervising and coaching youth in a residential setting.
They will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment, ensuring compliance with facility rules and regulations, and providing guidance and support to youth in achieving their treatment goals.
The successful candidate will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records, participating in training and professional development, and collaborating with other staff members to ensure the delivery of high-quality services.
They will be expected to work collaboratively with other departments and agencies to ensure the effective delivery of services and to maintain a positive and respectful work environment.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with youth, staff, and community partners.
They will also have a strong commitment to the principles of youth rehabilitation and correctional services, with a focus on promoting positive change and supporting the development of youth.
The successful candidate will be required to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and may be required to work in excess of 40 hours per week.
They will also be required to participate in on-call rotations and may be required to travel occasionally.
