About the Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the preparation of scopes, schedules, and budgets for substation projects
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of physical substation design, including yard layouts, plans, sections, and details
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project schedules and budgets are met
  • Prepare calculations for studies and reports, including grounding, lightning protection, and AC/DC load studies
  • Coordinate design activities with other departments, including Civil/Structural, Networks, and Transmission Line
  • Effectively communicate and coordinate project activities with managers, clients, and other stakeholders
  • Work independently and may direct, mentor, train, and/or supervise less-experienced engineers
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • Previous experience in project execution within the Power Market Sector
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office and standard Power Market Sector design software
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant in our employee-owned culture
