Job Title: Substation Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Substation Engineer to join our team at Kiewit Corporation. As a Substation Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical systems for our power delivery projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop electrical systems for substation projects, including one and three-line diagrams, protection and control schematics, communications diagrams, wiring diagrams, and substation layout plans.
  • Develop specifications for the procurement, installation, and testing of substation equipment.
  • Apply engineering application software to complete engineering tasks such as ground grid design, equipment sizing, relay coordination, and electrical studies.
  • Communicate and coordinate project activities with project leads, customer representatives, and other stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science degree (B.S.) in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
  • At least 2 years of experience performing engineering-related duties.
  • Knowledge of engineering standards, including NEC, NESC, NEMA, IEEE, and ANSI.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; fluent in English language.
  • Legally able to work in the United States for any length of time.
