Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Service Representative to join our team at Madison Family Practice. As a key member of our front office staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to our patients and healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accurately and efficiently register patients, schedule appointments, and manage patient information
  • Provide quality customer service to patients, physicians, and co-workers, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience
  • Maintain professional interpersonal skills and confidentiality in handling sensitive patient information
  • Support department operations as needed, including performing other duties and adhering to all policies and standards
Requirements
  • High School Equivalent / GED (Required)
  • 1+ years related experience as a Secretary/Receptionist (Preferred) and Customer service experience preferably in the medical field
  • Typing skills - 30 wpm (Required proficiency)
  • Excellent verbal/communication skills (Required proficiency)
  • Detail oriented (Required proficiency)
  • Basic computer knowledge (Required proficiency)
  • ICD9 coding and medical terminology (Preferred proficiency)
Work Environment

This role requires standing occasionally, walking occasionally, and sitting constantly. Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, handling, grasping, feeling, talking, and hearing are required. Repetitive motions and eye/hand/foot coordination are also necessary. Travel requirements are minimal, at 10%.
