Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Clinical Patient Navigator to join our team at Healogics. As a key member of our outpatient wound care center, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our daily patient census.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with Center leadership to maximize daily patient census.
  • Participate in staff meetings to support key functions within the Center.
  • Greet patients and other visitors, answer and route calls to appropriate staff.
  • Maintain all patient communication needs, including scheduling, rescheduling, and appointment reminders.
  • Obtain and verify patient insurance information, including pre-certifications and pre-authorizations for services.
  • Collect and enter patient charges in databases.
  • Verify and reconcile charges as directed, prepare monthly patient survey data, and transmit to providers.
  • Assemble new patient charts, maintain and file existing patient charts, and spot check charts for data completeness and signatures.
  • Coordinate and schedule ancillary testing with other hospital departments.
  • Arrange for patient transportation as needed.
  • Maintain office equipment and supplies as needed, and medical supplies as directed.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED); Associate's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of Two (2) or more years of office administration experience, preferably in a medical setting.
  • Prior medical coding experience preferred.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Good customer, interpersonal, and communication skills, both orally and in writing.
  • Organization and time-management skills.
  • Ability to type 60 words per minute (wpm).
  • Basic math skills.
  • Attention to details.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to work on multiple projects at the same time.
  • Ability to work with others and in a team environment.
Work Environment

The hourly rate for this position generally ranges between $18.84-$24.55 Per Hour. This range is an estimate, based on potential employee qualifications: education, experience, geography, as well as operational needs and other considerations permitted by law.
