Job Summary

The National Football League is seeking a highly skilled Business Affairs Associate to join our team. As a key member of our Business Affairs and Rights & Clearances teams, you will provide day-to-day support for the content creation process with producers, creatives, and other executives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Acquire Materials: Research, contact, and work with external parties to acquire materials to be used in our programming.
  • Contract Review: Review and analyze contractual terms to ensure all necessary rights are being acquired.
  • Deal Coordination: Coordinate deal requests and track outstanding agreements through execution, distribution, and filing (internally and externally).
  • Contract Drafting: Draft contractual agreements for footage licenses, talent, and locations.
  • Operational Management: Manage cross-departmental operational trackers and status reports.
  • Content Review: Review content for any potential issues, legal and otherwise.
Requirements
  • Education: J.D. from an ABA accredited law school, or a combination of a four-year degree in Business Administration (or related field) plus four years of relevant work experience as a contract administrator/transactional paralegal in a law firm, legal department, or business affairs department.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of footage research experience in a production environment, 1-2 years of experience working in footage licensing, including negotiating rates and terms.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Industry Experience: Experience in the business/legal side of the media and entertainment industry.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, proficiency in AirTable.
