About the Role

CoolSys is seeking a highly skilled HVAC/R Service Technician to join our team. As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for providing top-notch service to our customers, ensuring their equipment is running efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide service to customers by repairing and overhauling equipment, including compressors, water pumps, air handlers, electrical and mechanical control devices.
  • Perform general repair work on refrigeration, heating and ventilation equipment, including air conditioning units, evaporative condensers, ice machine equipment, water pumps, gas furnaces, compressors and electric motors.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance activities for customers by diagnosing equipment malfunctions and operating deficiencies.
  • Test malfunctioning systems and components using electrical and/or mechanical skills.
  • Maintain accurate records of work history.
  • Process job tickets and work orders in a timely manner.
  • Perform other related duties and projects as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • EPA certification required.
  • Certification from an accredited vocational-technical or trade school a plus.
  • Minimum 3-4 years of commercial refrigeration experience required.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. with no assistance.
