Your Contribution:

As an Applications Engineer, you will be instrumental in crafting specialized heat transfer solutions while offering technical guidance for bespoke products. Reporting directly to the VP of Engineering, you will manage multiple projects and collaborate on various initiatives, ensuring quality and efficiency.

Essential Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline is required.

Preferred Skills:

  • A Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering with 3-5 years of relevant engineering experience.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems such as Epicor.
  • Experience in Lean Manufacturing, 5S, or Six Sigma methodologies is advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design custom radiators, oil coolers, and heat exchangers.
  • Follow corporate guidelines for application engineering in design, quoting, drafting, and production support.
  • Work closely with external clients, customer service, and sales teams to gather essential information for high-quality unit design.
  • Stay informed about requirements from engine manufacturers and suppliers.
  • Conduct field tests to validate cooling system designs.
  • Manage travel schedules and related expenses.
  • Assist in special projects across sales and other departments as needed.
  • Provide primary engineering support for designated accounts and sales initiatives.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for design verification.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and procedures consistently.
  • Travel domestically and internationally as necessary.
  • Complete additional job duties as assigned.
  • Be prepared for potential weekend work to meet project timelines.
  • Manage assigned OEM sales accounts effectively.

Job Competencies:

  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and proactive approach.
  • Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings and technical documentation.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent interpersonal and time management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Experience with SolidWorks or similar design software.
  • Dependable under varying work conditions.
  • Pass pre-employment screenings.
