Your Role:

As an Applications Engineer, you will be instrumental in developing customized heat transfer solutions and delivering technical assistance for specialized products. Reporting directly to the VP of Engineering, you will manage multiple projects and collaborate with various teams to ensure successful outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline is required.

Preferred Skills:

  • A Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering with 3-5 years of relevant engineering experience.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems such as Epicor.
  • Experience in Lean Manufacturing principles, including 5S and Six Sigma methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop custom radiators, oil coolers, and heat exchangers.
  • Follow corporate guidelines for application engineering in design, quoting, drafting, and production support.
  • Work closely with external clients, customer service, and sales teams to gather essential information for high-quality unit designs.
  • Stay informed about the latest requirements and information from engine manufacturers and suppliers.
  • Conduct field tests to validate the performance of cooling system designs.
  • Manage travel schedules and related expenses efficiently.
  • Support special projects for sales and other departments as required.
  • Provide primary engineering support for designated accounts and sales initiatives.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for design verification purposes.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and procedures consistently.
  • Travel domestically and internationally as necessary.
  • Complete additional job duties as assigned.
  • Be prepared for potential weekend work to meet project deadlines.
  • Manage assigned OEM sales accounts effectively.

Job Competencies:

  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and proactive approach.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and produce technical documentation.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent interpersonal and time management abilities.
  • Capability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Experience with SolidWorks or similar design software.
  • Dependable under varying work conditions.
  • Pass pre-employment assessments.
