About WeCool Toys Inc.

WeCool Toys Inc. is a leading designer and manufacturer of dynamic toys and creative products. We manage all aspects of production, packaging, export, and distribution.

Position Overview:

We are looking for two skilled and motivated Senior Product Developers. One will focus on Paladone's product innovation while collaborating with our UK creative team, and the other will work with the WeCool Toys team in the USA.

The selected candidates will be responsible for the planning, development, and execution of products in key categories such as Lighting, Toys, and Collectibles, aimed at driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Innovation & Trends

  • Analyze market trends and research to develop new product lines.
  • Generate innovative ideas and concepts for new products, ensuring they are commercially viable and present them effectively.
  • Ensure product and packaging designs align with current trends and brand ethos.

Idea Generation & Communication

  • Facilitate creative brainstorming sessions.
  • Translate market research and feedback into cohesive and functional designs.
  • Develop product concepts to effectively communicate ideas to stakeholders.

Market Research

  • Conduct competitor analysis to evaluate strengths and weaknesses.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to identify growth opportunities.
  • Attend customer meetings to gather insights and transform them into actionable proposals.

Product Development Process

  • Manage product development and approval processes.
  • Create detailed specifications for production.
  • Provide clear briefs for design teams.

Critical Path Management

  • Ensure product launch timelines are met by managing critical paths.
  • Collaborate with teams to mitigate potential delays.

Process Improvement

  • Identify and implement improvements to enhance departmental efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the toy industry and product development lifecycle.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes in the Far East.
  • Experience with licensed products is advantageous.
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
