Job Summary:

The Operations Manager plays a vital role in supporting the sales force at our branch. This position is responsible for delivering administrative services, acting as a liaison between customers, sales teams, and distribution.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all sales support activities at the branch, ensuring seamless execution.
  • Train sales staff on sales-related systems, databases, and processes, enhancing their productivity and efficiency.
  • Provide exceptional customer support, including order processing, product information, and issue resolution.
  • Implement and maintain pricing policies, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
  • Manage the collections process, maintaining control over outstanding invoices and ensuring timely payments.
  • Oversee Accounts Payable activities, including expense, inventory, and freight invoices, and debit memos.
  • Prepare reports on customer inquiries, sales trends, customer complaints, delivery, or service problems, providing valuable insights.
  • Collaborate with customers and suppliers to resolve order issues, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Manage inventory levels, replenishing stock to meet annual turn goals, and maintaining optimal inventory levels.
  • Assist in other lower-level roles within the branch as needed, demonstrating adaptability and teamwork.
Requirements:

This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and five or more years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Industry and sales experience, with the ability to perform financial calculations and generate reports.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, with a record of achieving positive business results.
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and projects, with a professional and self-motivated attitude.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with a strong work ethic and decision-making ability.
Physical Demands: May require on-call duties on nights or weekends, depending on business needs.

Licenses & Certifications: Excellent driving record preferred, with all company vehicles subject to continuous video monitoring.

Supervisory Responsibility: 5-10 Direct Reports, with budget responsibility.
