Job Title: Site Work Estimator

Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Estimator to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in estimation within the construction industry, with a focus on earth-moving and restoration projects.

This role involves preparing detailed cost estimates for various projects and ensuring accurate and efficient project planning.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop comprehensive cost estimates for a variety of construction projects, including landfill expansions, site work, highway and bridge projects, and utility installations.
  2. Review project plans, specifications, and requirements to provide accurate material and labor cost assessments.
  3. Prepare detailed proposals and cost breakdowns for clients, including scope of work and project timelines.
  4. Work closely with project managers and other team members to ensure estimates align with project requirements and budgets.
  5. Conduct site visits to evaluate conditions and gather necessary information for precise estimation.
  6. Maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain accurate pricing and negotiate contracts.
  7. Monitor project progress and adjust estimates as required based on changes in scope or unforeseen conditions.
  8. Ensure all estimation practices comply with industry standards and company policies.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Estimator in the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of earth moving, restoration, landfill work, site development, highway and bridge expansion, and utility installations.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to provide accurate and detailed cost estimates.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in estimation software and tools.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
