Role Summary:
The Director of Global Card Program Management is tasked with overseeing all dimensions of Visa's global card initiatives. This encompasses the management of the Corporate Card and Purchasing Card programs, adherence to Travel & Expense (T&E) Policies and Guidelines, supervision of the expense report auditing process, and integration support for newly acquired entities. The role entails global oversight, with team members located in various regions worldwide. Although the Director is not directly involved in operational tasks, they will manage various card-related functions to enforce controls, enhance efficiency, foster a culture of continuous improvement, and drive productivity metrics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the Global Card Program, focusing on card administration, business line requests, system enhancements, expense report processing, and program expansion.
  • Manage banking relationships and card program elements across diverse global locations.
  • Supervise external vendors responsible for expense report audits and lead the internal team in employee follow-ups and expense resolutions.
  • Collaborate with global peers and finance leaders to continually enhance key processes, systems, and tools, focusing on projects such as card distribution models and employee expense reimbursements.
  • Possess extensive knowledge of systems like Concur and Oracle, and other tools integral to the T&E process.
  • Demonstrate in-depth understanding of T&E Policies and Guidelines, with the ability to identify and address questionable expenditures.
  • Support ongoing mergers and acquisitions by evaluating acquired entities' T&E Policies and aligning them with Visa's standards.
  • Prepare and analyze global operating metrics to identify process efficiencies and initiate improvements.
  • Address business line or supplier escalations, identifying root causes and implementing solutions.
  • Act as the primary liaison for internal audits and SOX testing.
  • Instill a culture of continuous improvement through automation of manual processes and standardization of business practices.
  • Drive team performance to achieve Best in Class standards, enhancing employee engagement and accountability.
  • Develop effective succession planning and focus on employee career development.

Work Environment:
This is a hybrid role, allowing employees to alternate between remote and office work. Employees in hybrid positions are expected to work from the office a set number of days each week, based on business needs.

Qualifications:
Basic Requirements:
• A minimum of 10 years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree, or 8 years with an Advanced Degree, or 3 years with a PhD.

Preferred Qualifications:
• 12 years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 8-10 years with an Advanced Degree, or 6+ years with a PhD.
• Proven experience managing Card Program activities.
• Experience leading a finance team in a multinational environment.
• Familiarity with complex payables issues, including foreign currency transactions.
• Ability to cultivate strong professional relationships with key leadership across diverse international regions.
• Solid experience managing internal and external audits.
• Capability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strategic thinking skills to support business objectives while balancing risk and reward.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Oracle Financials, and SAP products like Ariba and Concur.
• Knowledge of the payment industry.
• Self-motivated with strong prioritization skills.
• Understanding of Lean Six Sigma principles and tools.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities to drive and support change.

Additional Information:
This position may require occasional travel. The role will be performed in an office setting, necessitating the ability to sit and stand at a desk, communicate effectively, and operate standard office equipment.
