Job Summary

Auburn University seeks a 9-month non-tenure track lecturer to teach undergraduate courses in Global Studies, Development Practice, and Study Abroad. The successful candidate will be part of the College of Human Sciences Office of Global Education and will be responsible for teaching, advising, and contributing to the program's growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach 3-4 sections of undergraduate courses in Global Studies, Development Practice, and Study Abroad
  • Advise undergraduate students and be an active team member within the program
  • Be involved with industry and professional associations, as well as the Office of Global Education
  • Advise global studies clubs and honor societies
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Global Studies, Sustainability, Human Sciences, or related field
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English and possess excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Eligibility to work in the United States
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ph.D. in a related field
  • Experience teaching in global studies, hunger studies, sustainability, or related field
  • Professional experience in development
  • Interest in interdisciplinary teaching initiatives
