Job Summary

We are seeking a Multimodal Transportation Engineer to join our Raleigh, NC office. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing design proficiency and CAD skills for transportation engineering projects. You will work on people-centered, multimodal projects and construction documents, helping to make communities more livable and equitable.

Responsibilities
  • Develop design proficiency and CAD skills for transportation engineering projects
  • Work on people-centered, multimodal projects and construction documents
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to brainstorm creative solutions for challenging projects
  • Use state-of-the-art tools and practices to create sustainable, people-centered, multimodal transportation infrastructure
  • Improve people's lives and commutes through the design of streets, active transportation facilities, and Vision Zero safety projects
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or master's in civil engineering or related field (focus on transportation engineering is a plus)
  • Entry-level experience
  • Broad knowledge base in aspects of street design and understanding of concept drawings, exhibits, civil details, and construction documents
  • Interest in multimodal transportation issues and design (specifically for bicycle, pedestrian, Safe Routes to School, Complete Streets, Vision Zero, and/or transit integration)
  • Excellent task and time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across disciplines
  • Experience with the Microsoft Office suite of applications
