Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Production Technician to join our team at Anderson Bakery, a Kroger Company. As a Production Technician, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks and duties to ensure the efficient and safe production of bread, muffins, and rolls.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain timely arrival and attendance for scheduled shift
  • Demonstrate willingness and ability to learn
  • Master at least one core team operational position
  • Make timely progress in qualifying to independently perform all operational functions assigned by the core departmental team
  • Steadily advance in leadership and operational skill development as required to advance to Tech Level 2 performance within the established time frame
  • Participate in the team's rotational schedule when qualified on multiple positions
  • Model safe behavior in execution of operational roles
  • Perform all duties in a manner that ensures product quality
  • Model role-appropriate leadership behavior in keeping with Kroger Values
  • Demonstrate actions motivated by functional understanding of plant strategy, functions and operational objectives
  • Show commitment to team goals through cooperative and aligned behavior
  • Communicate with team members to overcome obstacles through collaboration

Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Must demonstrate reliable, punctual attendance including participation in rotational scheduling
  • Highly self-motivated, with ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
  • Effective problem-solving ability
  • Active listening skills
  • Effective oral/written communication skills
  • Positive, approachable demeanor
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and readily adapt to change
  • Basic reading (comprehension) and math skills (counting, addition and subtraction)
  • Basic mechanical reasoning skills
