Join Our Team

Kleinfelder is seeking an accomplished Senior Project Engineering Manager to enhance our team. The Senior Project Engineering Manager utilizes a comprehensive understanding of various natural gas and liquid pipeline infrastructure initiatives, independently assessing, selecting, and implementing standard engineering methodologies, procedures, and criteria to drive project execution. Projects vary in scale and complexity, encompassing both natural gas distribution and transmission, as well as liquid pipelines and associated facilities.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop pipeline and facility designs, ensuring compliance with relevant codes, standards, and design criteria through thorough review of designs and documentation.
  • Prepare construction specifications and bid packages.
  • Conduct pipeline design and material selection.
  • Perform alternative and feasibility studies.
  • Create status reports detailing task completion, progress, challenges, and proposed solutions.
  • Oversee project pursuits, allocate appropriate resources, identify client needs, address concerns, and manage engineering resources within budget constraints.
  • Lead and contribute to technical, cost, and scheduling decisions for interdisciplinary teams, ensuring adherence to company quality standards and enhancing customer value.
  • Foster and expand client relationships and contracts involving complex, multidisciplinary projects.
  • Guide, develop, and mentor staff to support their professional growth.
  • Innovate new strategies to tackle encountered challenges.
  • Manage all phases of project execution, including organization, subcontractor oversight, scheduling, financial management, health and safety stewardship, and reporting.
  • Collaborate on a program of design and construction management projects, striving for continuous improvement in processes and execution.
  • Build relationships within technical and client service teams and among client organizations.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external teams, clients, and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Required: Bachelor's degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Preferred: Professional Engineer (PE) certification and Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in pipeline and energy infrastructure.
  • Proficient in project planning, utilizing standard tools and information to make informed adjustments regarding budgeting, scheduling, and scope modifications.
  • Adept at assessing and resolving internal and external issues and conflicts.
  • Experience in production design, either through direct involvement or through the review of work products and independent technical evaluations.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.
