Position Summary
The primary duties of Surveyors involve conducting assessments across various locations and generating maps and documentation of survey findings for our concrete paving and related projects.
We are looking for individuals who can assist in executing our initiatives across multiple regions, with a significant amount of travel expected to various future sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform surveys on infrastructure such as roads, airfields, and military installations. Review historical records to ensure the precision of data.
- Develop and implement methodologies for surveying activities.
- Utilize specialized equipment to accurately gauge land characteristics (e.g., coordinates).
- Create detailed maps, diagrams, and visual representations.
- Collaborate closely with construction teams.
- Provide mentorship to other field personnel.
- Document survey outcomes and present results to management and project stakeholders.
- Work in conjunction with engineers and architects on various projects.
- Support Superintendents and Project Managers with additional operational tasks as needed.
Required Qualifications
- 0-3 years of experience in surveying or a related field.
- Familiarity with GPS and Total Station technology is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Possession of valid certifications for construction site work is essential.
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Exceptional communication abilities.
- Willingness to work during evenings and weekends.
- Capability to obtain clearance for restricted or high-security areas.
- Physical requirements include the ability to lift and carry at least 75 lbs., as well as perform various physical activities.
