As a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP), your role is crucial in assisting patients on their journey to recovery and enhancing their self-esteem through effective therapy. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Facilitating therapy sessions aimed at improving speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing capabilities.
  • Providing updates on patient progress and any concerns to supervisors and team members; managing patient scheduling and ensuring accurate documentation of services rendered.
  • Maintaining compliance with LifePoint standards, regulatory requirements, and accreditation guidelines in all patient care documentation.
  • Educating patients' families and nursing staff on follow-up care and therapy programs.
  • Ensuring a safe and hygienic work environment by maintaining equipment and workspaces.
  • Delivering presentations to promote marketing initiatives and participating in team meetings and training sessions.
  • Adhering to the Company’s Code of Business Conduct, Corporate Compliance Agreement, and all relevant professional standards and legal regulations.
Required Qualifications
To qualify for the role of Speech Language Pathologist, candidates must possess:
  • A master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program recognized by the Education Standards Board or meeting ASHA certification criteria.
  • Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology or Audiology from ASHA, meeting educational and experiential prerequisites.
  • A minimum of six months of professional experience as a speech therapist, particularly with adult and geriatric populations.
  • A valid and unrestricted Speech Language Pathologist license in the relevant state.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Strong organizational abilities and effective communication skills.
  • The flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends.
