As a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP), you will play a crucial role in enhancing the recovery and self-esteem of patients through targeted therapy aimed at improving their speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver therapeutic interventions that facilitate patient recovery and promote well-being.
- Effectively communicate patient progress and challenges to supervisors and interdisciplinary team members; assist in scheduling and managing patient records.
- Ensure accurate documentation of patient care in compliance with regulatory, licensing, payer, and accreditation standards.
- Educate patients' families and nursing staff on follow-up care and therapeutic programs.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment, ensuring all equipment is in proper working condition.
- Participate in marketing initiatives, team meetings, and training sessions.
- Adhere to the Company's Code of Business Conduct, Corporate Compliance Agreement, and relevant state and federal regulations.
To be considered for the role of Speech Language Pathologist, candidates must possess:
- A master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program recognized by the Education Standards Board or equivalent ASHA certification.
- Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology or Audiology from ASHA.
- A minimum of six months of professional experience as a speech therapist, specifically with adult and geriatric populations.
- A valid and unrestricted Speech Language Pathologist license in the relevant state.
- Current CPR certification.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- The ability to work flexible hours, including weekends.
