As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for patients by delivering therapeutic services aimed at improving their speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized therapy to assist patients in their recovery journey, focusing on maximizing their communication and swallowing functions.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and interdisciplinary team members to communicate patient progress and address any concerns.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient care in compliance with regulatory, licensing, and accreditation standards.
  • Educate patients' families and nursing staff on effective follow-through programs to support ongoing recovery.
  • Ensure that all equipment and workspaces are maintained in a safe and hygienic condition.
  • Participate in marketing initiatives and contribute to team meetings and in-service training sessions.
  • Adhere to the company's ethical standards, compliance agreements, and relevant state and federal regulations.
Qualifications:

To qualify for the role of Speech Language Pathologist, candidates must possess:

  • A master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program recognized by the Education Standards Board or meeting ASHA certification criteria.
  • Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology or Audiology from ASHA.
  • A minimum of six months of professional experience as a speech therapist, particularly with adult and geriatric populations.
  • A valid and unrestricted Speech Language Pathologist license in the state of practice.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • The ability to work flexible hours, including weekends.
