Key Responsibilities
- Generate detailed cost assessments for projects, products, and services by analyzing material, labor, transportation, and equipment expenses.
- Establish and nurture relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Request and evaluate quotes from vendors and subcontractors to adhere to bidding timelines.
- Identify project risks and communicate findings to senior estimators.
- Prepare and present comprehensive cost proposals for projects.
- Support bidding processes for new contracts and assist in procurement efforts.
- Track project expenditures to ensure they align with initial cost estimates.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Capability to perform under pressure while meeting deadlines and budget constraints.
- Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, or estimating software.
- Ability to interpret architectural plans and create accurate cost estimates.
- Strong time management and multitasking abilities.
- Thorough understanding of pavement preservation and horizontal construction methodologies.
- Experience with job order contracting and alternative delivery methods is advantageous.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to accept and act on constructive feedback.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License.
- Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Civil Engineering is preferred.
- 2-5+ years of relevant industry experience.
- Familiarity with B2W software is preferred.
