Key Responsibilities
- Compile cost estimates for various projects, products, and services by investigating material, labor, transportation, and equipment costs.
- Establish and nurture relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Gather quotes from vendors and subcontractors to adhere to bidding timelines.
- Evaluate project risks and communicate findings to senior estimators.
- Prepare and deliver comprehensive cost proposals for work.
- Assist in bidding for new contracts and support procurement processes.
- Track project expenses to ensure they align with initial estimates.
Estimator Qualifications
- Capability to perform under pressure while meeting deadlines and budget constraints.
- Proficient in word processing, spreadsheet, or estimating software.
- Skilled in interpreting architectural plans and formulating cost estimates.
- Excellent time management and multitasking abilities.
- Thorough understanding of pavement preservation and horizontal construction techniques.
- Experience with job order contracting and alternative delivery methods is advantageous.
- Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Willingness to accept and act on constructive feedback.
Qualifications Required
- Valid Driver's License.
- Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Civil Engineering is preferred.
- 2-5+ years of relevant industry experience.
- Familiarity with B2W software is preferred.
