Shifts Available:

  • 2nd Shift: 3pm - 11:30pm
  • 3rd Shift: 11pm - 7:30am or 7pm - 7am

Overtime: Mandatory for all shifts.

Additional Compensation: A signing bonus of $750 is available after meeting specific tenure requirements. Opportunities for increased hourly wages are available after 6 and 12 months of employment.

Position Summary

U.S. Engine Valve is seeking skilled Machine Operators (also referred to as Product Technicians) to engage in our machining processes. The primary responsibilities include operating automated machinery and ensuring the quality of parts produced, along with managing tool and material changes at designated intervals.

This role requires active involvement in machining operations, and it is not limited to simple machine operation. Comprehensive training lasting a minimum of 6 weeks will be provided, with additional training available as needed. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, with mandatory overtime on weekends.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up, operate, and maintain production machinery for precise operations including shearing, friction welding, heat treating, grinding, turning, and drilling.
  • Follow safety guidelines while operating production equipment.
  • Perform equipment setups and conduct light maintenance, troubleshooting as necessary.
  • Maintain appropriate oil and coolant levels in machinery.
  • Adjust machines, tooling, and wheels to ensure products meet specified tolerances.
  • Accurately complete production documentation including first piece approvals and scrap tickets.
  • Utilize specified gauges to verify product tolerances.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Preferred: Minimum of 6 months of experience in a manufacturing or machining environment.
  • Knowledge of operating automated machines is essential.
  • Ability to perform close tolerance operations and troubleshoot equipment effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
  • Availability for mandatory weekend overtime.
  • Willingness to undergo a minimum of 6 weeks of training.
