Employment Type: Full-Time/Direct Hire with Benefits. This position is not temporary.
Available Shifts:
- 2nd Shift: 3pm-11:30pm
- 3rd Shift: 11pm-7:30am or 7pm-7am
Overtime: Mandatory
Shift Premium: Additional $1.50/hour for 2nd & 3rd Shifts
Additional Compensation: A $750 signing bonus is available after meeting specific tenure requirements. New hires may also have opportunities for increased hourly rates after 6 and 12 months of employment.
Position Summary:U.S. Engine Valve is seeking dedicated Machine Operators (also known as Product Technicians) to engage in our machining processes. These positions involve operating automated machinery (not assembly) and ensuring the quality of parts, as well as performing necessary tool and material changes at specified intervals.
These roles are not merely about monitoring equipment; they require active involvement in the machining process. Training will last a minimum of 6 weeks, with additional training provided as needed. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, with mandatory overtime on weekends.
Key Responsibilities:- Set up, operate, and maintain production machinery for precise operations, including shearing, friction welding, heat treating, grinding, turning, and drilling.
- Operate production equipment safely and according to established guidelines.
- Perform equipment set-ups and light maintenance, troubleshooting as necessary.
- Maintain appropriate oil and coolant levels in machinery, as applicable.
- Adjust machines, tooling, and wheels to ensure products meet specified tolerances.
- Accurately complete production documentation, including first piece approvals, tagging, and scrap tickets.
- Utilize specified gauges to verify product tolerances.
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Preferred: Minimum of 6 months of experience in manufacturing or machining.
- Knowledge of automated machine operations and part quality verification.
- Ability to perform tool and material changes at required intervals.
- Capability to operate various machining equipment effectively.
- Experience with production documentation processes.
- Proficiency in using gauges for product tolerance checks.
- Willingness to work Monday through Friday with mandatory weekend overtime.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for occasional travel.
