Respiratory Care Specialist

The Respiratory Therapist provides respiratory care to patients of all ages, working in accordance with evidence-based policies and procedures. This role requires the ability to administer medical gases, medications, and other respiratory modalities, as well as monitor levels of supplies and equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in respiratory therapy and be able to work effectively as part of a healthcare team.
Responsibilities:
* Administer medical gases, medications, and other respiratory modalities as ordered by the prescribing physician
* Monitor levels of supplies and equipment, ensuring proper functioning and maintenance
* Work effectively as part of a healthcare team to provide comprehensive patient care
* Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide respiratory therapy to patients of all ages
Requirements:
* Successful completion of a respiratory therapy program from an accredited school
* Credentialed Registered Respiratory Therapist by the National Board of Respiratory Care
* Current Respiratory Care Practitioner license and National Board of Respiratory Care credentials (if credentialed after July 1, 2002)
* Basic electronic medical record documentation skills
Preferred Qualifications:
* BLS certification (preferred for MSS)
