Job SummaryThe Polysomnographic Specialist works collaboratively with the Medical Director, Leader, staff, and patients to achieve optimal efficiency and success in sleep disorder function testing and scoring.
This role performs comprehensive sleep testing/analysis and associated interventions under the general supervision of the Leader, Medical Director, or designee, and provides supervision of a Polysomnographic Trainee and Polysomnographic Technologist I.
A Polysomnographic Specialist is credentialed in sleep technology.
Responsibilities- Performs comprehensive sleep testing/analysis and associated interventions
- Provides supervision of a Polysomnographic Trainee and Polysomnographic Technologist I
- Works collaboratively with the Medical Director, Leader, staff, and patients to achieve optimal efficiency and success
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Successful completion of an accredited educational program with emphasis in polysomnography
- Successful transition into a polysomnographic technologist I and successful obtained credentialing in sleep technology
- Associate's degree in an allied healthcare field (respiratory care or neuro-diagnostics)
- Second credential may include one of the following: BRPT (Certification in Clinical Sleep Health) CCSH
