Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Transplant Coordinator to join our team at the University of California. The successful candidate will be responsible for the clinical case management of transplant recipients, from initial referral to post-transplant follow-up.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate interdisciplinary medical care delivery systems under the direction of the Medical Director
  • Liaise with patients, families, medical staff, referring physicians, and insurance companies
  • Develop and implement individualized patient/family teaching programs
  • Assess and coordinate medical interventions for effective use of resources and quality assurance
  • Collect and analyze data for clinical management and certification requirements
  • Develop educational materials and programs for patients, nursing staff, and physicians
  • Develop clinical protocols, policies, and procedures
  • Conduct community education and public relations
  • Liaise with organ procurement agencies and transplant donor/recipient coordination
Requirements
  • Current California Registered Nurse license
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program with a B.S. degree or Masters
  • 5 years of relevant RN experience with a combination of critical care and/or transplant experience
  • CCTC or CPTC certification (for TC II)
  • BLS Certification from AHA or ARC
  • Ability to communicate effectively with persons of various cultural backgrounds
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently
Salary Range

$163,720 - $220,096 (annually) for TC I and $197,253 - $235,756 (annually) for TC II
