Job Title: Liver Transplant Nurse Manager

As a key member of our transplant team, the Liver Transplant Nurse Manager plays a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and services. This position requires a strong background in nursing, leadership, and program management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and monitor transplant program staff to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies.
  • Oversee clinical and business operations of the transplant program, including coordination of interdisciplinary medical care delivery systems.
  • Develop and implement educational materials and programs for patients, nursing staff, and physicians.
  • Assess and monitor medical case management protocols to maintain effective long-term patient management.
  • Develop and implement clinical protocols, policies, and procedures to ensure quality transplant care.
  • Collaborate with the Medical Center QA/PI program to oversee and monitor transplant care quality.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with organ procurement agencies and other external partners.
Requirements:
  • Current CA RN license
  • Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
  • Bachelor's Degree required; Master's degree highly preferred
  • Minimum 5 years clinical transplant coordinator experience
  • BLS from AHA or ARC required
  • CCTC preferred
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated experience as a transplant coordinator/transplant manager (at least 5 years)
  • Ability to apply a broad understanding and knowledge of organ transplantation/donation, including immunology, immunosuppression, rejection, and other complications of transplantation.
  • Knowledge of transplantation to develop and implement policies, procedures, standards, and protocols for quality organ transplant patient and donor care.
  • Ability to ensure regulatory protocol compliance is maintained by solid organ transplant staff.
