Job Title: Associate Director, Talent Acquisition

At Verona Pharma, we are seeking an experienced Associate Director, Talent Acquisition to join our team. As a key member of our Human Resources department, you will be responsible for designing, planning, and executing recruitment strategies and selection processes to ensure an exceptional candidate experience.

About the Role:
  • Identify innovative sourcing avenues, techniques, and hiring strategies to ensure reach to a diverse pool of qualified candidates.
  • Build strong, credible relationships with senior leaders and hiring managers as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert.
  • Grow existing network, foster new relationships, and attend networking events to increase Verona Pharma brand awareness and build sustainable talent pipelines.
  • Determine and manage list of preferred external recruitment partners; negotiate terms and rates and hold partners accountable for results.
  • Subject Matter expert for hiring managers and interview panels on interviewing tips and best practices, to include training for interview team members.
  • Identify, track, analyze, and report out on key metrics to measure effectiveness, cost, and quality of our recruitment and talent acquisition efforts.
  • Develop and manage Verona's Internship Program, with initial roll-out Summer 2025.
  • Keep job descriptions for all roles updated, with clear career paths.
  • Complete all requested Radford surveys and use the platform to continually ensure we have internal and external pay equity.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field; preferential consideration given to SHRM or HRCI certifications (ex., PHR and/or SHRM-CP).
  • At least 7 years of experience in Recruiting and/or Talent Acquisition; pharmaceutical industry experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience with managing an Applicant Tracking System (ATS); experience with JazzHR is a plus.
  • Proficiency with mining for candidates through LinkedIn; experience with holding a Recruiter Seat and managing a company's Careers Page of LinkedIn.
  • Top-tier negotiation skills to close complex offers involving many components of compensation (e.g. base, equity, bonus).
  • Prior experience with Radford/Aon platforms a plus.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment with the ability to prioritize and multitask efficiently.
  • Sense of urgency and accountability in day-to-day work.
