Job Summary

This role is responsible for creating a positive first impression for patients, ensuring accurate registration and scheduling, and performing various administrative duties. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work autonomously, and possess basic knowledge of medical terminology and insurance information.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform basic receptionist duties, including answering and returning phone calls, retrieving voicemail, and maintaining office equipment and supplies.
  • Provide courteous customer service to internal and external customers.
  • Assure accurate processing of patient registration and scheduling.
  • Scan, file, and post documents into patient charts.
  • Assure reimbursement through basic insurance processing tasks.
  • Monitor petty cash.
  • Coordinate requests for release of medical information.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or 1 year of CSA I experience (or equivalent).
  • One year of medical office experience.
  • Knowledge of basic computer functions and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to perform basic math functions and count money.
  • Ability to respond appropriately to unpredictable situations and diverse patient populations.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as a team.
  • Knowledge of Medical Terminology.
  • Basic knowledge of insurance information.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to communicate in the English language for effective written and verbal correspondence.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous electronic medical software experience.
